Emma Emma Everywhere. A book for my granddaughter’s 2nd birthday. 10 x 10.5”. There are some cutouts and a popup inside. A year in the making, I have sworn off future ones (we’ll see how that lasts).
Cover of the book. I made the book cloth, and incorporated the leather cord that forms the name into the sewing of the binding.
Title page. How about that spiffy type?!
The text is simple little rhymes. Letterpress, silkscreen, gouache.
Detail. Behind / under the text I put a linocut. Under other pages I did letterpress blocks. Each page is different though all have some common elements.
